Are you working on an environmental project that could do with a boost?
The Community Environment Fund supports groups working to restore and protect native ecosystems on public land around Te Awarua-o-Porirua whaitua. The fund is administered by Greater Wellington and our mana whenua partner, Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira.
Community projects from Churton Park to Pukerua Bay and inland of Pāuatahanui are eligible to apply. See if your project falls into the area outlined in the map below. You can apply for up to $10,000 each year for up to 3 years. Projects should aim to restore the native ecology and promote native biodiversity values.
Applications are open from Monday 15 August to 5pm Friday 30 September. Successful applicants will be announced in November.
